At least Rios won't hit into a DP here.

Sometimes he's just using that tennis volley swing too often

And I would say sometimes Rios needs to try and pull the ball more as well. He seemed to get more aggressive at the Cell a few weeks ago, and he had some good power success.

That would've required PK to get on

Please tell me Chris Sale is already in LA.

Yeah, but given where Rios is coming from, I don't want to f*** with him too badly :)

You would think he'd have it going by now. This far into the season and total garbage offensively is cause for concern. Not only isn't he hitting, his walk rate is at an all time low.

Jeez, what the heck is AJ swinging at? These guys must want to get to LA ASAP

I'd be shocked if he's not, although it shouldn't be too late when they get there.

Motte is a douche. Sox let a guy 1-17 beat them......................Floyd you continue to amaze. Another series lost. :stick

It's strange to me that he hasn't been benched a few more times to give him a breather. He's been a joke offensively this season.

So much for Westbrook's 4 game losing streak.

In 7 of next 8 games (Kershaw, Billingsley, Capuano, Garza, Dempster, Gallardo, Greinke), Sox face really good starting pitchers. Offense has to get going immediately

They get a quality start and win. It's amazing how that works....

He's hurt.

Sox sucking last 3 series. Bummer.

We didn't play well against the Astros, but the Cardinals series wasn't about us "sucking" as much as the 2nd game was a great pitcher's duel and we just couldn't come up with the timely hits.

It's not like we got completely blown out of the water by the defending champs, far from it.
