Slid to catch a hit, but he had to catch it basically falling over while sliding, so he shielded the ball with his body and picked it up with his other hand after he dropped it.

It seems like lately Hawk has hired someone to tell him if a fly ball is on it's way out or not. He seems to be conceding 2 or 3 seconds earlier than he used to.
