05 was about getting a big lead lead in the division early on. We fended off the Indians towards the end. But we do have issues post asb. Everyone presses.

Some manage to win at the same time. This is not the Sox MO.

Porcello is such a fat guy name, isn't it? When you hear it you think it should belong to a big jolly fat man.

That year, 05, was great after the ASB. The 4 game sweep of the Indians

Jesus hell Viciedo. Hang your head.

I think that Thornton/Reed implosion has had a big impact

Sox going to give Porcello his 1st complete game EVER..............This is terrible.

3 hits of Rick Porcello

You know, might be time to give some guys a day off tomorrow

I think that Thornton/Reed implosion has had a big impact

Meh, I don't like giving them excuses like this. The fact that they suck right now and can't hit anything has had a big impact.

At least he has an RBI in this game.

Gordon Beckham's MUCH worse.

Porcello was 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA against us year...he's definitely continuing that same exact trend.

Sox have a bunch of hitters doing nothing right now..................ADA has hit a wall.

Despite Addison's false bravado on the Fox interview, that game had a huge impact on this team's psyche.

He can act as nonchalant as he wants, but whatever...

typical second half for the Sox, tigers got this

Kitties are hot and the Sox are not. Stay close over the next few weeks and they will cool off. Key is the Sox catching fire again.

How did the last week of 2008 happen?

That's what I want to know.

Why is everyone talking Luke we've lost this game already? All we need to do is shut them down in the 8th, score 5 in the top of the 9th, and than let Reed do his job!

Because this whole weekend was predictable from the moment Matt Thornton entered the game Thursday night.

LOL at Karros saying that it's a good thing the White Sox would control Brett Myers' contract at $10 million next year as a reliever.

As a starter, sure. But you can't pay your closer that kind of money when you're rebuilding/retooling.

Yes, and I think tomorrow's conclusion is in the books as well. I hate to say it but you just knew this was going to happen once Cody Ross did his cute little bat flip. It's ok we're only 1.5 games out after tomorrow and this Tiger's team is very beatable this year.

What makes you think the kitties will cool off? I'm of the mindset that once they get comfortably in first place (2 or more games ahead), they'll play their best baseball.

Edited by SouthSidePride05

The better question is how much baseball have we watched to not understand the ol' Hawkeroo's adage..."it's not who you play, it's when you play 'em"

The White Sox are the team to play right now because several hitters are slumping and we've had all kinds of injuries to pitchers. Let guys even out a little bit, play at home some, see what happens.

Two games ahead is a comfortable lead? They're still a team with a ton of holes.

Because I don't think they are that good.

2 outs and cant get the third until its too late? Same old song and dance. Come on punk, nut up.

CORPSEBALL

Someone before mentioned that they thought the Tigers were one of the most arrogant second place teams ever.

I think they just justified their arrogance.
