Oakland A's @ Chicago White Sox

This feels like the US women's volleyball game against BRA. We had all the momentum in the world until Ramirez hit into that double play and then we just got steamrolled (largely our own doing)...too many mistakes from the manager, bullpen and defense to make up for.

Oakland's actually stranded 13 runners in this game, and only retired in order in the 1st and 6th.

Where's Orlando Cabrera when we need him to face Balfour, lol?

Lexi pretty much cost us this game. The two-run lead would have been HUGE. Horrible at bat. Just godawful.

1-1 Tigers/Rangers after 7 innings. Verlander mowing them down now, at 118 pitches.

I hate four-game series on the road. You'd have to think Sox will lose 3 of 4. A split would be good. First place is gonna be leaving our grasp soon if we lose again Sunday. Is the KC rain coming your way? I'd take a rain out on Sunday right now. I'd rather have Sale pitch in Toronto.

I hope it's not coming from KC to China, lol.

That would be quite the weather phenomenon....there's been enough rain in SE Asia to last the US for a year.

Hopefully he's ok. He'll probably get tomorrow off anyways.

The last thing we need is Youk getting more injured

Didn't need that Youk...

Would suck since Middlebrook broke his wrist last night........... If Youk broke his.

SWING THE BAT!

C;mon Dunn, what are u looking at

They need to make players wear samurai armor at the plate. Thats the only logical solution.

Made contact, but another weak swing. Anytime he wants to start contributing again, he can feel free. No homers, 2 RBI in his last 12 games.

Damn, Dunn. One out.

The best pitch to hit in that AB was the first pitch. Right down the middle.

Looks like Rios flying open.

2 out.

I'd just walk AJ here

Has been for a few games of late. Teams are just throwing everything to the outer half against him now.

Balfour stinks. There I said it. Rios with a bad bad K.

No reason to score 7 runs and lose to Oakland...............none very bad loss.

and the game ball goes to Matt

Everyone give Matt Thornton a swift kick in the ass for his efforts there tonight. Robin needs to learn to never put Thornton in to a game where the Sox are up by or down by less than 13 runs.
