Unpopular Opinion: Frank WILL NOT get it on the first ballot.

He'll have his one year "punishment" for being a DH, and get in on the second time.

No way. He gets in for sure.

Omar: http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playe...amp;position=SS

Ozzie: http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playe...amp;position=SS

Smith and Vizquel had the same wOBA at .311. But Smith was considered 10% more productive (wRC+) because league offense was much less potent in his era. These guys played 10 years apart.

Ozzie came first but their careers overlapped, there used to be discussions comparing the two. Regardless, it just comes down to who you watched who was better, and certainly you can make the case for the wizard as being better but it's like comparing Mantle to Mays - they were both great.

And I agree about Frank - I think writers will be happy to anoint a clean one from the steroids era.

Good Gavin so far.

Cmon O!!!

I thought so too until Roberto Alomar was somehow 20+% more worthy on his second year than his first. The gatekeepers of the HOF are bitter old white haired baseball writers who would prefer if games were still in black and white. They think NOBODY in the modern era of baseball is HOF worthy. Not even Cal Ripken Jr. (98.53% -- really who would leave him off?!)

Also, for the "story", they will want Maddux and Glavine going in together. Can't have Frank in there messing that up.

hook looks good tonight

Nice inning by Gavin. Get this man some more runs.

sure he is

Agreed. He's arguably the greatest defensive shortstop to ever play and was a pretty darn solid hitter at the position.

@DanHayesCSN: Correction: That was Gavin Floyd's first 1-2-3 first inning since June 14 at St. Louis. He made eight starts in between. #WhiteSox

Tank looking much better at the plate recently.

Great PA by Dayan. It's always nice to see him take a walk.

Holy s*** dweezy

ITS ALL GOOD.

WISEEEEEE 4 jays 0

Wise has been our best hitter for the last 3 days.

Spit on baseball "tradition".

He wouldn't do the shuttle drill. And he wanted Belle instead of Bonds
