QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 25, 2012 -> 02:02 AM)
The only thing I wonder is how are a couple of these LA young guys getting through waivers?

I don't know the names. Is James Loney one of them?

DRAW SUCCULENTLY FROM OUR DONKEY BALLS ONCE AGAIN SEATTLE

QUOTE (MAX @ Aug 24, 2012 -> 08:58 PM)
Never heard of it.

Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford and Nick Punto for top pitching prospect Allen Webster and James Loney, Ivan DeJesus Jr.,Rubby De La Rosa and Jerry Sands

Boom!!!

Ha I as just thinking when was the last time Dunn hit 2 HR's off a leftie in the same game.

That was simply demolished. Jeeeesus.

436 ft my ass.

Dunn has to be having the best season in baseball history for a guy with under a .210 average.

Fielder K's with Cabrera at 2nd, still no runs for Tigers yet. Only 3 hits.

Hawk loved Jerry Sands when we faced the Dodgers last year. Webster is a prospect that the Dodgers refused to give up for Dempster. Supposed to have a great sinker.

Don't the guys on the 40 man have to go through waivers? If so, why wouldn't a couple of the youngsters be claimed?

Wtf.

Think about all the millions unloaded.

Is Bud Selig really going to allow a salary dump of those dimensions?

Amazing how the Dodgers and Rangers have gone from broke/bankrupt to flush with cash in just a couple of years.

And it would make the Red Sox rebuild. I'd love that.

John Henry is his buddy. I don't see why he wouldn't. Its not as if Boston is bringing the payroll down to 10 million.

More like reload. Who else is going to spend on free agents this offseason? Yanks have their own guys to take care of, and Dodgers are spending a fortune on these players.

That is a great post. I bet you are right. Dunn is the kind of guy who could carry a team through the playoffs or go 0-for-26. He's a weird weird baseball player. No doubt he's the feel-good story of this season. He's hit a ton of meaningful home runs.

Albuquerque is finally back doing a rehab with the Toledo Mud Hens.

That's not good news.
