That pitch was middle in, just below the waist, which actually happens to be in one of Youk's hot zones if you believe Yahoo. Heck, if the pitcher thoguht he was swinging, he probably wouldn't have thrown that pitch. You tend to have a better eye when bunting then you do when hitting. Longer time to react to the pitch when you are bunting vs. trying to get a hit.

September 13, 201213 yr BP and doing it in game conditions against a guy with pinpoint command in Fister are two quite different things. All the hitters lay down 3-5 bunts typically at the beginning of BP. Not even sure if YOUK has been doing that or not. Plus he had a three day layoff over the weekend and has been a hurt a lot, it's highly doubtful he's taking extra bunting practice. Edited September 13, 201213 yr by caulfield12
