He has the most RBIs aganst the Sox. The manager is starting to cost them more games.

So great, does this mean Liriano starts this weekend? On 2 days rest, this seems absolutely ridiculous to use Santiago.

Looks like we're going at this with a playoff mindset -- win these games and worry about the rest later.

Absolutely not for Santiago's arm sake. This is definitely a Cooper call though, and not on Ventura.

He wasn't in the scheduled rotation for it

He was supposed to start Friday

Liriano. Or Axelrod? Or did we use him? I don't remember.

Luckily, Santiago has owned Cabrera in high leverage situations in the past

Santiago rules! He should be our closer

I meant Liriano wasn't scheduled. This would be Hectors throwing day...

H Christ. That was unfair.

Brilliant...shows he can't catch up to the fastball, and you throw that. For crying out loud, Santiago threw 93 pitches on Sunday.

Completely fooled his ass and he still got the RBI

Hate to say it. Cabrera = stud.

Gmab man, he couldn't possibly have put a worse swing on the ball.

You mean guiding the ball into the gigantic hole? Stone was saying he acted afterwards like he meant to do that. It just seems like Ventura is picking odd times to use people in situations they haven't been used in for a long time. Santiago is far from being a situational lefty.

No way, hopefully they can get 3 innings of the Detroit pen here

If Hector can ever win the battle with the base on balls, he'll be elite.

He's still someone that I like more as a starter than reliever. He's clearly a guy that needs a nice, long warmup and needs to find a rhythm to start hitting the zone consistently. We don't want that one "mulligan" batter for him to walk out of the pen, but over the course of a start we can deal with him putting his own men on to recalibrate now and then.

So, I was out driving, but Gavin was cruising and up 1-0.

How'd they get the 3?
