I have a feeling we are going to shell Chen tonight.

If they do, it would be the fourth straight start of Chen's that he gets lit up, with the Sox laying claim to two of those starts.

Chen should be shelled. Look at his ERA for crying out loud.

Ugh. I hate WCIU games. Looks like gamecast for me.

I know, good thing I get KC's broadcasts too.

Don't forget Gates BBQ and KC Masterpiece (which is a bit sweeter sauce).

Big fan of the pulled pork sandwich at Oklahoma Joe's, and yes, it's the other side of a gas station/convenience store on the Kansas side of the state line, although it's very close to the border.

Gates is one of those famous places (like The Varsity in Atlanta) where the waiters/waitresses are a bit famous for yelling at you or being somewhat aggressive or maybe pushy would be the best word.

And yeah, Fiorella's Jack Stack BBQ is very good as well, in the Freighthouse. BTW, thanks for bringing that up, lol, my ex wife worked there as a waitress on the weekends and occasional weeknights when she was attending UMKC.

im not gonna lie, I would rather have that barbecue over deep dish

You're officially out of my Saluki family.

A's are getting Verlander into good hitting counts, and they can't do anything with it.

Going to have to get Reddick or Cespedes to go yard, somehow.

5 hits, nothing to show for it. No clutch hitting with RISP, but that's to be expected going against Verlander in DET, where he's extra dominant.

For all the power both those guys, Viciedo and Cespedes have pretty similar HR numbers, although Cespedes has played in fewer games.

Dirks with almost a perfect drag bunt to lead off the inning with a single.

Uh-oh, Tigers playing small ball to perfection, Anderson tried to scoop it to 1st and Laird showed good speed to beat it out. Jackson bleeder up the middle works like a bunt, 2nd and 3rd, one out, Cabrera looming. Although they can walk him to face Fielder with Anderson, IF they get Infante here.

Pssssht 17th street FTW

Well, that's not good. Pressure goes back to the White Sox, knowing the Tigers are likely to win this game as well.

Maybe, just maybe, we should stop testing Royals' outfielders and catchers and giving up outs.

And no good news in the A's game, looks like they're going to have to pull Anderson early. 2 nights in a row for starting pitchers to go down in that series.

3-0 Tigers.

They're definitely not lying down and playing dead for us.

Rumors that Leyland will be gone after this season if the Tigers don't advance to the playoffs.

Hawk nonchalant about doubles. Only gets up for warning track shots.

Sox just awful with RISP of late

Its sad watching our hitters recoil in fear from a 84 mph fastball.

There we go again with RISP.

Konerko just not looking good, Dayan fishing and Alexei getting himself out.

Sale with a great 2nd inning there.

Wake up offense!

You just wonder how we can't hit the likes of Chen and Guthrie. Everyone else hits them.

Matt Thornton 2012 ERA 3.21

Matt Thornton career ERA as a White Sox 3.21

And of course, no hit with RISP. Youk is just horrible on the road.

Is Hawk dead? Sounds like they are down 10.

With Guthrie and Weaver lurking, the offense needs to snap out of this RISP funk.
