Saw the Trek movie, in 3D, and I have to say... not nearly as good as the last one. The flash and dash was good, and at least in 3D was even a little too much to follow. But the plot, much of the acting, story devices, even the dialogue really fell flat, in my view. The snappy feel of the previous movie was partially lost, and the intensity was severely lacking (replaced with loudness, which is not the same thing), except from Cumberbatch who was fantastic. Without him, this was a pretty garbagy movie. I was disappointed.

Completely agree. This one can't even hold the first's jock strap. Cumberbatch was awesome; everything else was pretty bland (though Quinto was good again). The biggest problem, IMO, is that I didn't really feel like it was building to a climax. I kept thinking, "Wait, is this the end? Or is there more? What about now, is this the end?"

Also agree on the loudness/intensity comment.

she is pretty hot. She has a good sex scene with Ray Liotta in some movie I dont even know the name to. Perfect set

Nice, didn't even think to Google. Ray Liotta with his lips on her tits. Hilarious. It's nice to know that every generation of actresses at one point had to resort to taking her top off and having a sex scene with some washed up actor.

Fast & The Furious 6 was a bit better than I expected, but not quite as good as Five.

Still, definitely worth the money for the epitome of a summer blockbuster/popcorn flick.

The last one had more of a story/plotline...this one was more about "over the top" or preposterous action sequences (and I loved the vault robbery sequence at the end of 5, as well as the opening sequence with the train and car flying off into the lake) that have to be seen to be believed.

And, with all honesty, there's probably never been a movie series going into its 7 movie that has kept my interest...FWIW, Tokyo Drift actually figures in as the 6th movie chronologically, which will make more sense later.
