June 4, 201312 yr QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 09:06 PM) Nah. It's hard to make a bad baseball movie. Watch Summer Catch and see if you don't change your opinion.
June 4, 201312 yr Ben Affleck is not back in my good graces, I gotta tell you. Argo was a gigantic disappointment, Oscar or not.
June 4, 201312 yr QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 05:42 PM) Watch Summer Catch and see if you don't change your opinion. He said hard to make a bad baseball movie, not impossible.
June 5, 201312 yr QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 11:42 PM) Watch Summer Catch and see if you don't change your opinion. To me, Summer Catch was way more watchable than Trouble with the Curve
June 5, 201312 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 09:03 PM) To me, Summer Catch was way more watchable than Trouble with the Curve Based on that assessment I don't ever plan on seeing Trouble With the Curve.
June 5, 201312 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 08:03 PM) To me, Summer Catch was way more watchable than Trouble with the Curve To me, Jessica Biel was way more watchable than Amy Adams.
June 5, 201312 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 09:07 PM) To me, Jessica Biel was way more watchable than Amy Adams. Blasphemy
June 5, 201312 yr Parker was watchable...not the worst Statham movie. Jennifer Lopez, on the other hand, egregiously bad. Edited June 5, 201312 yr by caulfield12
June 5, 201312 yr QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 09:44 PM) Mud with a 99 on the tomatometer. It's good but I wasn't blown away by it.
June 5, 201312 yr Now I get why everyone hated Trouble with the Curve... The stat guy loses to the eye test guy. Well either that or because it is a f***ing horrible movie.
June 6, 201312 yr http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20483133_20687779,00.html THIS IS THE END picking up some rave reviews...
June 6, 201312 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 12:32 PM) Now I get why everyone hated Trouble with the Curve... The stat guy loses to the eye test guy. Well either that or because it is a f***ing horrible movie. AKA Grady Fuson's.....er, Clint Eastwood and John Goodman/Schuerholz's revenge.
June 6, 201312 yr Dunno if this was posted already. Looks pretty funny, kind of the same genre as Tucker and Dale vs Evil. Edited June 6, 201312 yr by onedude
June 9, 201312 yr Is Cannes Palm 'd Or winner "porn" made for men because the two lead actresses are beautiful (you'll remember one as the villain/assassin from the latest Mission Impossible in Dubai) and not lesbians in real life, and the director's not a woman or lesbian woman like the writer of the story the movie is based upon? http://insidemovies.ew.com/2013/06/08/is-b...or-art-or-porn/ Interesting arguments. A lot of similar arguments are arising over Young & Beautiful/aka Jeune Et Jolie (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/young_and_beautiful_2013/), which has received 11 positive reviews and only 1 negative and debuted at Cannes as well. Because the actress was/is underage, and/or being portrayed in the film as 17...and she's Victoria's Secret model beautiful (Marine Vacth). Edited June 9, 201312 yr by caulfield12
June 10, 201312 yr When are these movies coming out (ba doom ching)? I want to "judge" the sex scenes myself.
June 10, 201312 yr QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 4, 2013 -> 09:03 PM) Based on that assessment I don't ever plan on seeing Trouble With the Curve. Don't. Watched it last weekend. The non-baseball scenes try to be serious, and then all the baseball scenes are about as realistic as the hockey scenes were in Mighty Ducks.
June 10, 201312 yr QUOTE (farmteam @ Jun 10, 2013 -> 02:44 PM) Don't. Watched it last weekend. The non-baseball scenes try to be serious, and then all the baseball scenes are about as realistic as the hockey scenes were in Mighty Ducks. Keep The Adventures of District 5 out of this. Yes, Trouble With the Curve is brutal

June 11, 201312 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 03:34 PM) Ok, apparently Man of Steel predictably sucks. I've read mostly good reviews about it. Even the bad reviews haven't been that bad.
June 11, 201312 yr QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 03:40 PM) I've read mostly good reviews about it. Even the bad reviews haven't been that bad. They simply state that it's no fun and boring. Other than that - good to go!
June 11, 201312 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 04:43 PM) They simply state that it's no fun and boring. Other than that - good to go! The reviews I have seen have been pretty mixed but I think everything Snyder has directed has been no fun and boring (except for the Dawn of the Dead remake) including 300 so no surprise to me.
