Hector great tonight. LOL at the haters.

Hell of a kid right there.

SANTIAGO at USCF (2013)

7.2 13 5 4 1 1 6 4.70 1.83 (WHIP).382 (BAA)

Bizarre home/road splits. Santiago has had 28 innings pitching on the road, coming into tonight.

Averaging almost exactly one K per IP.

Not if Santiago can't make it five innings or 100 pitches.

6 IP, 107 pitches.

Say what you want about KW. That guys know how to find pitchers.

Hit streak! 5 of 6 innings we had leadoff man on.

Just noticed Verlander was torched again in the bottom of the 5th (now in a rain delay in CLE, with one out, 9-5 Tigers leading).

ERA on the season would be 3.70 and climbing.

What a bum.

Scouting.

Axelrod and Santiago were both 30th round draft picks.

Quintana was brought by his agent to the White Sox as a minor league FA, where he felt there was an opportunity and a good chance to work with Don Cooper.

Now, give this team a 1st/2nd/3rd round draft pick (except for Addison Reed or Sale), they're likely to mess it up.

That arm is starting to fall off. Velocity is down and he's throwing a ton more change ups. I think he's throwing those changes because his arm is ouchie.

But who pitches the 7th?

When I had shoulder issues, changeup was my most painful pitch. Would feel good if someone had elbow issues.

Not doing anything with the leadoff man getting on tonight.

At least that will probably be Clay's last inning. 3 innings to get to their bullpen

Great play by ADA

Fastball/change is the same delivery. That slider puts that torque on the arm. He doesn't want to throw it. Elbow.

Why not Nate Jones here?

He almost certainly screwballs his changeup like a lot of guys do, considering its movement, but yeah. If something is hurting, probably elbow. If just general exertion is the issue, then he might be happy to just let off the gas on his changeups and achieve the desired effect

Apparently, RV has more confidence in Omogrosso at this point.

Jones is rested, is he not?

Ramirez is a god damned stud

Good job of ADA of knocking the ball down

Jones was going to come in if we had a lead. He'll probably get next inning regardless, now
