Wow, this team is pathetic. One of the worst executing, worst managed teams I've seen on the south side. We should all be so thankful Ventura declined to extend his deal.

A's about to have won 13 of their last 15 games.

Our 9-3 streak is quickly turning into 9-8 and dead in the water.

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHY THE f*** REED DIDN'T PITCH THIS INNING.

Tie game on the road, it goes against all baseball tradition.

Yep, and he said he doesn't have a feel for his offspeed stuff. Santiago has all but begged to be a starter.

He has thrown practically no screwballs since he first went to the pen and he said it is because it takes him quite a while to get used to it -- he said on the radio that it was absolutely the move to the bullpen that got him to start throwing his changeup (low 80s) instead. Glad we took his best pitch away.

Nibble nibble nibble

(I never thought his screwball was his best pitch. At least it certainly wasn't last year, that was the pitch that always hung up and was killed).

Nice job by Santiago and Nate Jones

If they changed your job description at work every 2-3 weeks, how do you think anyone would do in that scenario?

Cause he had no feel for it coming out of the bullpen. Of course, that could just be a BS excuse he used.

I cant wait until Nate Jones and Omogrosso get sent to AAA.

Game has changed.

Wow, nice job by Gimenez there!

This was predictable.

Those two sliders weren't well delivered.

Stupid to start Jones this inning, just terrible managing.

The excuses for Santiago are imcredible. Nothing is ever his fault. Walks a guy...he was in the stretch. Well, he better learn to throw strikes from the stretch.

If he can't pitch effectively with runners on base, he isn't the HOFer some people seem to think he is.

I expect them to perform anyway. As for Nate Jones he has no excuse.

If he could control it, it would give him a devastating arsenal.

Great play by Gimenez to clear the way to get a throwing lane to 1B.

Walk to Crisp to load the bases again.

Hope we don't see another walk.

Sogard up.

A's were 93.2% to win there.

Now 65%

In his starts in 2011, he threw 30% screwballs (76 mph on average). Since, he has averaged 6% and 5% respectively. He has replaced it with the changeup that Hawk and Stone both think is his screwball but doesn't move. His changeup gets hit all the time.

What player has had his role changed so many times in 1 1/3rd seasons in Sox history?

Name him.

With Santiago's control issues, walking Crisp was more questionable than it seemed.

Awesome turn!

Can't believe you walk Crisp there given Santiago's command issues.

Who decided to walk Crisp when Santiago is known to be wild?

His job is to get guys out. 2-0 and he is not in the stretch.
