I do believe he'll blow it up and would gladly trade everyone but Sale. Where's this confidence coming that he's not going to trade Peavy, etc?

Axelrod on his way to being in the bottom 3 in the AL in ERA, BAA and WHIP. In other words, he's overmatched as a starter in the AL.

It offends me as a fan to have him in the rotation.

It appears Axe's fairy dust has finally worn off. For his talent, he did provide the Sox with several good outings.

Sounds like he is going with the option that is the most reasonable. Trade some guys in the bullpen...maybe Rios or Peavy. Rebuild the offense in the offseason.
