I've given up guessing what's going to happen. I just hope they find acceptable deals for Peavy and Rios, and if they deal Dunn and Alexei---I'll be ecstatic.

My predictions are:

 

Peavy to Red Sox for Middlebrooks and Renaudo

Lindstrom to Braves

Pence to Rangers

Schierholtz to Pirates

The issue with these guys is...none of them have surpassed their usefulness. If the Sox spent $25 million next offseason on free agents, kept that whole list of players around, and found some way to remind their players how to catch the ball and do a rundown, they could possibly field a competitive team next year and do so with a lower salary than this season. So...it's up to other teams to give the Sox a good enough reason to decide right now...not to.

 

Good post and very valid. Let's hope that Hahn is thinking the same way.

I get this feeling that Hahn is going to trade some guys that we havent talked about much because of lack of rumors. Someone like Jones or Quintana. Those are pieces you would think Hahn would want to hold onto but if he can get a prospect that he has had his eye on much like KW did by pulling the trigger for Danks when he did.

And with an astounding 42% of the vote - Soxtalk pegged this one dead on.

If you are so inclined ( as I am ) to include the 10% poop tally as well... Over half of respondents got this correct.

 

Bottom line... We rule.
