Of course, with a pitching staff this good, you are substantially closer than any other team that has this kind of record

But then you see the abortion that is our offense and defense and realize that moves need to happen.

But that's a choice only a GM can make

Think of it like two teams. One of them needs careful maintenance while the other needs an explosion

His curveball is pretty good

Lol, Rienzo just punked swish so hard in that atbat

Edited by Dunt

This Rienzo may be a lying SOB but he looks good!

His motion looks extremely familiar.

Anybody who strikes out Nick Swisher is okay by me.

Hola Andre

His curve is buckling knees. Love what I see so far.

That was an excellently pitched at bat

Curveball is definitely a plus, fastball is solid, his 3rd pitch might be what makes or breaks him in the majors.

Maybe it's secretly a Rienzo showcase to add him in as a deal sweetener, lol?

Strikes out the side in the 4th.

Wonder how many Brazilian (usually soccer-centric) sports bars are showing this one on the satellite feed? New and interesting territory for MLB, first ever start for a Brazilian-born pitcher.

I thought his slider was supposed to be his best pitch, no?

Rienzo = Beast

I guess for the Brazilians it doesn't really matter that they can't hear it.

Looks like the Sox have Peavy's replacement

Im pretty impressed so far.

Rienzo is in PERFECT rhythm with that hook.

Cutter isn't consistent, but when it's on it's a damn good pitch.

I know people raved about his cutter in the futures game. I've kind of been half assed watching this game but have really only seen the straight fastball and hook so far.

Lol. That could only happen to the Sox.

Lets see if he can work out of this

Eat s*** Giambi.
