Yay, My team is killing it in the consolation bracket!!

Being mostly sarcastic about caring but we did make a rule this year that the consolation winner does get to select what pick they get in the lottery next year, so I might as well win.

We have 3 divisions. In order to keep it interesting, the winner of the 9-12 consolation and the 5-8 winner's consolation get to be one of the "captains" for the next season. Then we draw one of the top 4 out of a hat. The captains draft their divisions. It's fun.

Fantasy football playoffs are all about luck. I scored the 2nd highest points in the playoffs ever in my keeper league last week but lost because the guy I faced scored the most (I got Vereen and McCoy'd). It's frustrating but it happens. I went off again in the consolation this week and will be playing for 5th place (and a captain spot - see above) now.

Fortunately, in my other league I won this week thanks to Josh Gordon's garbage time TD. Thanks for the TD run Michael Bush!!! So I'm guaranteed $300 for 2nd, if I win it will be $600.

The guy I played in the semis scored 145 (second most of the week by far) and he's going to lose to me because I'm going to score 170+. It's funny because I also scored 170 against him in our regular season matchup. That's some bad luck.

The Bears knocked me out of the playoffs.

Rogers-hurt

pick up McCown, then they bench him

Pick up Jason Campbell-the Bears shut him out

I'll be battling third place with every possible great matchup in my favor. (starting with McCoy vs the Bears D) I should be able to get my $50 back (although being in the championship with the possibility of winning $400 would have been even sweeter)

Justin Tucker mentioned how he's glad he helped out a lot of fantasy football owners after the game last night.

It was a great luxury to have both he and Jamaal Charles this past week.

Im that guy that lost his playoff matchup WITH Jamaal Charles in my lineup.

I lost to a guy who had Jamaal Charles and not much else. He had some players starting that are on IR, but Charles got him 64.00 points.

I had a pretty solid team but Charles was my only player to really break out. I had Peyton Manning get outscored by Cutler, Josh Gordon was a garbage TD away from being a total bust this week and D. Thomas and Vereen had seemingly their worst games. Also went against Lacy and Greg Jennings.

Once again, I have to choose between Cousins and Dalton. Both have good matchups. I'm leaning Cousins this time.

Cousins all the way. Dallas' defense sucks.

Decker or Fred Jackson for flex? PPR league, but 20 yards per point with 2 point bonuses at 75, 100, and 150 yards.

I'm afraid the Broncos will jump on Houston early and run the ball all game.

I've got a pretty good problem to have here....

Cousins vs one of the worst defenses of all time

Cutler vs a garbage Philly D

Big Ben vs a mediocre GB D

I've rode Jay when healthy all year, but Cousins has the best matchup.

Philly is 30th in pass defense and they should score a lot of points where the Bears have to throw a lot. And Cutler is just better than Cousins, I'd go Jay.

I also have an interesting QB dilemma. It's a 2-QB league and my QBs are Luck, Fitzpatrick and Alex Smith. I also own the Chiefs defense so the concern there is that all I would do is cancel out anything the Chiefs D/Luck did. My other worry is that KC and Indy are going to meet in Week 1 of the playoffs so both teams/QBs are going to be holding a lot back here. I'm leaning towards going Smith/Fitzpatrick at the moment

I think Cousins throws all day. Big Ben might have to deal with weather. Cutler or Cousins for me, that's a tough one.

Stacey(hip) or CJ1K(knee)...Both are dealing with injuries. Johnson has the better matchup(Jags) than Stacey(Tampa).

I wonder if I get any points out of Mccoy. Also, depending on what happens, the next question is whether I get any points out of Marshall / Jeffrey. This is why fantasy playoffs should never count for that much and why regular season is a far better indicator of who is the best team. That said...hopefully I can somehow pull this thing off. I hope Packers/Lions lose and bears are playing for postseason and take care of business tonight!!!

Need 79 points out of Cutler/McCoy/V. Davis/P. Dawson to win the talkbears league.

I'll take the loss if it means MCCoy doesn't play a lot due to Chip saving him for next week.

Down 16 points with McCoy, Jeffrey and Marshall (he has no more starters). Glad Packers/Lions lost so this game is huge for Bears. I picked up Brown...can start him if McCoy is announced to be sitting prior to the start of the game. Hopefully Marshall and Jeffrey go Hamm and the Bears do their thing!!!

Ditto...Bears > my fantasy team. Ideally I get both!!!

Just awful. Today I got 170+ points from my team (almost breaking the fantasy record in my league, Shady is still going though) and would've demolished both guys who are in the finals had I won last week. (which I should have... thanks Krush :P ) Instead I have to settle for third place for a second year in a row. I guess on the bright side, I get my $100 back.

Championship intrigue continues on in my league into Monday.

I'm down 114-120 now with Vernon Davis as my lone player remaining and nobody for my opponent. Non-PPR league. It looked like he would blow me out with Foles and Jackson, but neither ended up with big fantasy numbers. I didn't get a ton from Brandon Marshall, but enough.

It would be a blowout if I hadn't started Cousins over Dalton........

Well, I just lost by 1 point. f***.

Unbelievable. SF's defense got me 2 points against a dogs*** team. That's fantasy for ya.
