People tweeting that Rice and Crean got into it verbally before his 2 FTs.

How IU was in that game with 25 TOs I'll never know. Rice just flipped s*** on Crean. Great game

IIRC, they went 11 game minutes without a basket until Yogi's final 3.

Yea IU blew that game. Could be a really good team by end of season. Rice was awesome. Get to the NCAA tournament, they can do some serious damage. Key is getting there. Next few games are brutal.

Well, IU hit 10 3s on 45.5% while illinois hit 2 on 11.8%. IU also made 24 FTs. The only way IU loses a game like that is with turnovers.

Great game for Illinois. That wasn't the Oladipo and Zeller Hoosiers, but they are a good team. I wasn't very optimistic about our chances before the game, but JFG teams continue to really come through. Ray Rice is really something else, too. A lot of folks doubted how he'd do in the Big Ten, but this should quell those doubts for a while. Even I was unsure about how much he might drop off in conference.

I don't feel like either team "blew it" today. It was quite back and forth, The win was well-earned.

Yeah, and I'm very much used to teams I follow losing like this.

Yeah, Rice is just a man. Next year could be stacked with all the spacing that the Illini will add. He'll have more room to operate.

What a game. Yogi Ferrell was in beast mode, except for the couple times he decided to be a moron (laser pass off the backboard?).

Also, didn't see the problem with the foul on the inbounds. Rice (I think?) turned his body into him, with arms, to cut Yogi off.

Iowa State finishes nonconference undefeated.

I don't know how good this team is, but they are sure fun to watch.

Rumor that ISU has scheduled a home and home against a Big Ten again. Could very easily be Illinois or Indiana.

Is it just me or was that the longest overtime period ever played?

Fun game, good to see Rice keep it up against tougher competition.

Hey refs, there's no foul when nobody touches him. Flop.

You may not believe this but Iowa State reached out to Chane Behanan.

MSU is just so physical.

Newbill on PSU is a f***ing punk b****.

After Nunn's "incidental" contact.

Iowa State - Baylor on Tuesday night should be a blasty blast.

Aaron Jordan commits. Good recruit and Crean really wanted him.

How the hell did we beat Duke without Grant???

I didn't watch the game, but I would guess because Parker played awful in 24 minutes. Good win for ND obviously, but I think that's the reason.

What's 2015 look like for Illinois as far as schollies? Charles Mathews should be their main target.

They have at least two more open. I would guess Matthews is the main target.

I didn't expect to win so it doesn't hurt that much, but man the offense looked terrible. At least the defense looked good, especially in the first half.

2 open scholarships but I would guess they would take 3 more if it is the right 3 (i.e. Charles Matthews). They will want a PG and big with the 2 open ships and would obviously take Matthews as well.
