December 3, 201312 yr Chris Cotillo @ChrisCotillo 1m #DBacks will non-tender Daniel Hudson, according to @bnicholsonsmith
December 3, 201312 yr Bring him on in. They could use another right handed starter with some experience. Let's re-do the Jackson/Hudson trade. Edited December 3, 201312 yr by chisoxfan310
December 3, 201312 yr Seriously? Holy s***, get this done. Last time he was healthy he put up a 4.8 WAR season. That's almost what Sale put up this year. Obviously the caveat there is his healthy, but s***, how much could be asking for if the Dbacks wouldn't even offer him arb? Get it done, Rick.
December 3, 201312 yr QUOTE (Jake @ Dec 2, 2013 -> 10:30 PM) I f***ING CALLED THIS. it's in a thread somewhere and I was told I was a crazy Why would it be crazy? He's had Tommy John TWICE. Edited December 3, 201312 yr by DirtySox
December 3, 201312 yr QUOTE (DirtySox @ Dec 2, 2013 -> 11:41 PM) Why would it be crazy? He's had Tommy John TWICE. Because his price tag was $1.1M. How do you not throw that to him in hopes he can be healthy again. You know how easy it is to be worth $1.1M? I mean s***, we almost gave that much to Tyler Flowers, and he is horrendous when HEALTHY.
December 3, 201312 yr Tommy Hanson, 27 years old, was also non-tendered. He's also a guy with past success and injuries.

You know how easy it is to be worth $1.1M? I mean s***, we almost gave that much to Tyler Flowers, and he is horrendous when HEALTHY. Mainly because the recovery time for a second Tommy John surgery is longer than the first, and the success rate of pitchers returning after having the procedure for a second time is quite slim.

December 3, 201312 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 2, 2013 -> 10:39 PM) Worst trade ever! Fire KW We effectively got Daniel Webb and Myles Jaye for Daniel Hudson. That being said SIGN HIM NOW. He's in the same situation as Floyd, but better. Edited December 3, 201312 yr by Quinarvy
December 3, 201312 yr QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 2, 2013 -> 11:10 PM) We effectively got Daniel Webb and Myles Jaye for Daniel Hudson. Plus half of the package for Youk and most importantly the departure of Mark Teahen.
December 3, 201312 yr He will go to some better team I am sure.. I wish we would get him but I don't see it happening
December 3, 201312 yr QUOTE (raBBit @ Dec 2, 2013 -> 11:21 PM) Coghlan and Jordan Danks on the same team makes no sense. Guess you would choose between.
December 3, 201312 yr QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Dec 3, 2013 -> 12:21 AM) Ronald Belisario also non-tendered. Could be a good bullpen guy He sounds like a bad matchup with the nightlife of Chicago.
December 3, 201312 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 2, 2013 -> 11:30 PM) He sounds like a bad matchup with the nightlife of Chicago. He was in LA lol
December 3, 201312 yr Why don't the Sox just release everyone and sign all the non-tendered players that the other teams didn't want.
December 3, 201312 yr They should at least pick-up one of Hanson and Hudson. Wesley Wright, a left-handed reliever had a 3.69 era last year and threw in 70 games. He got non-tendered by Tampa. Any team not tight a money would have tendered him. The only few names I find interesting. Edited December 3, 201312 yr by chisoxfan310
December 3, 201312 yr Sidenote: the deadline for being tendered. Has anyone heard anything about Beckham, De Aza, or Viciedo?
