Halladay and Blue Jays will announce a 1-day contract at press conference so he retires as a jay

10-year period 170-75, 2.97 ERA, 2 Cy's. Postseason no-hitter.

Hall of Famer.

Good for him nice to see a guy retire when he should.

He was pretty filthy in his prime. Too bad he wasted most of that prime in Toronto

Wish it would have worked out better for the Phillies, it felt like such an abrupt end. Still, what a pitcher. Definitely the Blue Jays FOTF.

Halladay had 63 complete games over that decade, exactly 30 more than any pitcher ... and more than 19 TEAMS.

Doc was amazing during his prime. I just hope his back can finally be good the rest of his life stepping away now. (Avoiding surgery for more problems down the road)

FOTF?

fart on the fire.

That's what I figured.

Without a doubt a 1st ballot HFer. Going to miss watching his highlights but when its time, its time. Enjoy retirement Doc, you've earned it.
