Wait, why are the Cardinals number 1?? What the hell did they do? Over paid for a SS that just got off a suspension and trade a hometown hero for a CF that hasn't proven much at the MLB level? And sign an old back up?

I know, Peralta is a scumbag and the Freese trade wasn't that great.

Cards didn't really have a whole lot to do. Peralta will be way better than anyone else the Cards would run out there. And even overpaying him, their payroll for this upcoming season is far lower than it was last year (thanks to a lot of young pitching and position players making next to nothing).

With that said, I agree we should be above them.

National Media giving the White Sox some credit?wow...the cardinals did help themselves out by getting a pretty decent SS in Peralta(better than anything the currently have), and their new CF but yea it's pretty crazy the Sox should have easily been #1.

I don't think this is a criteria when choosing who had the best offseason.

It certainly should be. The Cardinals didn't have to do s*** and they would have had a good offseason. They had like 1 hole. That they're #1 discredits this list quite a bit.

I honestly think the Sox had the best offseason out of any team in the majors.
