Yes between the Lester, Buchholz, Ortiz, Ramirez and Schilling situations, it is definitely appropriate and necessary to make fun of the Yankees for the Pineda situation.

Meh, it is playing to the meatballs. White Sox fans would have loved it if someone mocked shooting up steroids around Sosa.

Yeah, making fun of quite possibly the dumbest pine tar user in the world that happens to play for your rival is just not a big deal. It does not presume that the preferred team has never done anything wrong.

Yeah, because we wouldn't be hypocrites. Red Sox fans yelling at the Yankees fans for cheating is hypocritical.

Any fan yelling at any other fan for cheating is hypocritical. It was trendy and on topic. It fit.

Michael Pineda will be sidelined for 3-4 weeks after being diagnosed with a Grade 1 strain of his teres major muscle.

It's the same injury that Clayton Kershaw had, which has cost him over a month of action. Pineda, who is in the midst of serving a 10-game suspension for his use of pine tar, suffered the injury while throwing a simulated game Tuesday. He'll be shut down for the next 10 days.

Tanaka still hasn't lost a game the last two years combined in both Japan and the US.

Was down 3-0 early but rallied and made it through 7.

The one area where he gets hurt (and many do) is elevated fastballs at the 90-92 MPH range without a lot of movement. If there's any single area of disappointment with him, it's the lack of knockout velocity to blow batters away with the type of fastball that Darvish possesses.

2.53 ERA on the season.
