Terrible free throw shooting by Iowa so far.

Uthoff is missing his shots by a crazy amount

Rice needs to be a ball hog and go off. Too much foul trouble.

Morgan. Why the f*** does he have a scholarship.

Well the refereeing....was a thing. No idea how they're even in this game.

What a terribly played half by both teams. The refs messed a lot up, including not giving Iowa free throws on what should have been a loose ball foul on Egwu.

I I've said it a million times before this season but no idea why MM was ever above Colbert on the depth chart. And I don't buy the "defense" answer. Colbert has been pretty impressive in just about every limited minute he's played this year.

Sloppy first half by both teams. Fouls, free throw shooting, turnovers galore...no consistent offensive rhythm for either team.

Note to McCaffrey: Please play Olaseni more if actually you want to win.

Groce has pretty much said Colbert didn't bring it in practice.

Morgan been worthless this game, along with Hill. Being down by 1 is amazing considering the difference in fouls.

OTOH, Iowa has committed 8 turnovers already, and is only 8/13 (61.5%) from the foul line, with Aaron White and Uthoff almost never giving up those opportunities.

Jok and Woodbury have been beyond terrible.

That sequence at the end of the first half is indicative of the entire game so far. Iowa could have extended the lead and the momentum, and, boom, it swung right back to Illinois because of a silly pass and not getting back on defense with their heads hanging.

Gesell hasn't been healthy for 2-3 weeks, either, so Clemmons has become more important. With his wrist still hurting, Mike has no alternative but to drive or show from about 15-17 feet and in.

How is that not an intentional on Woodbury? Never even came close to making a play on the ball.

Well Woodbury is just a beyond terrible player so that isn't surprising.

That should be a flagrant foul

He might be my least favorite player since Lucas Johnson

Ridiculous. Woodbury gets away with more bulls*** than any player I can remember.

Iowa missing a ton of shots at the rim

Hey Groce, run a f***ing play. Starks has been shooting great but the 3-4 dribble turnovers this half have ruined any chance they have to win this game.

Give the ball to Rice. Get it out of Starks' hands.

A 10 second count. Jesus they are bad.

Bad call, not ten seconds

Uthoff thinks he's Stephon Curry

Uthoff just having a horrific game.

Thankfully White showed up, and Oglesby is finally hitting some big 3's.

I never thought I'd miss seeing Tate out there so much.

We need Coleman-lands to be a stud next year.

At least Abrams/Tate should be much better at the 1 than Starks/Tate. Starks is a severely undersized SG. If JCL can give anything at the 1 that would be huge.

Their perimeter play should be fine but the post play is going to be mediocre
