Hands up who saw Tank drawing a walk there when he was down 0-2.

*sits on hands*

He actually has drawn a few walks this year. But ya...no.

De Aza and his check swings. Puke

That wasn't close to a swing.

The umps have it in for Alejandro for some reason.

More than last night that's for sure.

How many check swings are we going to have called the wrong way, this season? C'mon man, that wasn't close. Watch the BAT, not the HANDS...sheesh.

Someone needs to make a bad luck De Aza meme.

Terrible call

There's a good chance that we fall into last place in MLB attendance (ironically to CLE) unless we can beat 17,500. Averaging 56 more per game than the Indians.

Farmer and DJ were saying how beautiful the day was there in Chicago and how they had to run their air conditioning in the car, so weather's not a valid excuse for this one.

Maybe the umps are just trying to kill Hawk?

I reckon De Aza tends to look a bit guilty on his check swings, his technique to hold up the bat is very pronounced. If you didn't have a good sight of the bat and were guessing you'd probably say he went around on body language alone more often than not.

There's got to be something going on between the umpires and DeAza. Too many calls against him to be mere coincidence. It's like they're trying to "teach him a lesson" or something.

Semien might gotten a break on one, though.

Yup Petricka can't get into the K zone

Scoring at least five runs in 8 of 11 games. Last year the Sox didn't have their 8th game of at least 5 runs until Game 26. Much improved offense.

Is the check swing reviewable ? Or is the 3rd base ump as far as it goes?

The Indians have the luckiest f***ing hits I swear

Yuck

No he didn't.

Well, here we go again.

Dreaded leadoff walk and a gork shot on 0-2 that would have looked more elegant from an iron at Augusta.

Don't think so.
