Why not move Gillaspie to second base? He's a good hitter but has no HR power at all. So you let him play second base for the next 10 years and get a third baseman.

Because he probably can't play the position any better than Mark Teahen.

And because we have 3-4 middle infield prospects at that position already, not to mention we still have to trade Gordon Beckham first.

Forgot the White Sox had to go through customs as well in Toronto as well.

Going to be a nightmare for them...unless they win this game. We NEVER EVER play well at Rogers Center. It's one of the well-known laws of Sox baseball.

They won't be in bed until 5 a.m. if they are lucky. What time is the game on Thursday?

Leroy Garcia is coming on as a PRer.

Nice job, Orioles' radio. Well, it's getting late there.

Actually, that's what he told the White Sox broadcasters....didn't realize that, as it's not the traditional Spanish pronunciation for that name.

Of course, we've also gone from Al-uh-say Ramirez to Alexi.

You trade Beckham for whatever you can get at the trade deadline. Gillaspie plays second the rest of the year when the standings don't matter and learns the position.

Semien plays third for the rest of this season, but obviously isn't the answer. So we try again to acquire a strong third baseman in the offseason.

If we trade Lexi, let L. Garcia play ss the rest of the year til that Anderson guy takes over next year.

Ugh

Lol even Hawk and Stone knew they were going to go out of the zone but apparently not Alexei

Alexei is just awful right now. Some terrible announcing that inning by Hawk and Stone.

Ramirez is almost always vulnerable to that slider.

Sigh.

Didn't we sweep them at the Rogers Center last year?

edit: forget it, we split

Anderson's probably not going to be ready until 2016, at the earliest.

With Micah Johnson and Carlos Sanchez to also somehow find playing time for, they're not going to move Gillapsie until Davidson's play at Charlotte forces them to.

At any rate, there's just no way they would move Conor in the middle of the season to a middle infield position. It would be a complete and utter disaster of epic proportions.

No

I see a walk off coming

If they're going to blow this game, get it over with already.

If Nick Markakis hit against the rest of the league like he does against the White Sox, he'd be a perennial All-Star.

Petricka fastball only at 92? I disagree with the announcers saying he has great stuff

I honestly think Conor is destined for 1B/DH next season

Caufield have u ever been to Gwangju, SouthKorea?

I'm going there next summer. If you've been there I'd love to PM you a ton of questions I have.

Gillaspie lacks the quickness required to play 2nd

I just looked up Markakis' stats. He had a .300, 23/112 year but no ASG. Another .306, 20/87 and .293/18/101 but no ASG for either. What the hell?

Hell of a play!

Stat wise, he'd be perfect there, though. Hit .330 with no homers about 50-60 ribbies.

--Nice play, Beckham.

Holy crap what a play
