This bullpen is absolutely awful. Surkamp isn't even close to throwing a strike with his offspeed pitch. He belongs in the Paulino group for absolutely ridiculous expectations on here coming into the season.

Hopefully he does better than he did this year, as Downs was a complete flop and Belisario has been awful also. The Sox did spend some money on their pen this year, sadly.

4.54 in AAA with a .302 batting average against isn't doing "well", in my opinion. They had to try and make him a LOOGY, as righties were destroying him.

He is like many non top prospect pitchers, minor league starters who have to spend some time in the bullpen. If he can't handle it, he can go sell cars.
