August 17, 201411 yr Sox are now 34-30 against teams with .500 records or better. Weird. I would say that the Sox winning or losing has a lot more to do with whether they have Sale/Quintana or someone else pitching, but then they did just take 2 of 3 from Toronto with 3 someone elses pitching.

Assuming 550 ABs, to achieve a .480 SLG with a .290 AVG and 40 2Bs would still require him to hit around 20 homers. If he gets 600 ABs, it would require about 25 HRs. I don't think anybody would complain if he hit 20-25 HRs next year.

A .190 ISO would be an optimistic expectation, since he's only even approached that in really tiny samples throughout his career. He's at the right age though. We'll see.
