I really hope they turn the page and go with a new catcher next year.

I think Nieto may be the future at C, but he should probably spend most of next season in Charlotte. The FA options are thin; might as well go with Phegley an Gonzalez 'till Nieto is ready or someone becomes available.

This is not the Sox night or year.

Hes too old

Need innings from Carroll at this point with a DH Saturday.

At the time, it was an accurate statement.

It was the absence of a "right now" I found amusing. Either way, his good streaks and bad streaks have added up to a line of .232/.293/.347. And a BABIP still of .350+. Even with his good defence/framing, I fear that's just not gonna be good enough when a few less shanks drop in/he starts hitting a few less line drives.

Stone still thinks he will spend September in the bullpen.

He actually was really good out of the pen.

On the bright side, I don't have to listen to Hawk to hear the same people say the same things about the same people over and over and over...

Adam Eaton over his last 18 games: .449/.480/.580

Avi really struggling with the fastball above the belt. Wouldn't shock me if that's due to his shoulder.

True leadoff man. If only he can stay healthy.

Conor can you maybe stop 1 ball tonight?

Conor started out pretty decently defensively last year, but was awful the last couple of months. This year, a similar pattern seems to be occurring.

He has been awful on the defensive side since the Dodger series. He is not a everyday 3rd basemen.

He's not an everyday 3rd baseman more because he absolutely cannot hit lefties. If they get him a platoon partner and he hits reasonably close to what he's doing now, he can absolutely be a 3rd baseman for the majority of games going forward, even though his defence will probably limit his value a decent amount.

Marcus Semien

Marcus Semien

A decent candidate, but I'd give Marcus the inside track for the starting 2B job, really not sure if Sanchez's bat holds up.

That is not close to a strike.

Jose Abreu is a BEAST.

That is all.

Micah Johnson second base next year.

He ain't ready yet. 87 wRC+ at AAA.

He played injured all year. I'm not saying he's a lock to be great right away, but he was on the fast track, and they'll have room for him.

And he is the guy the Sox FO wants there.

We're giving up on Sanchez already?

Agree with you on Sanchez. Could be a utility guy
