If cost were no object, I'd say Moncada, Soler, or Puig.

This is literally the most caulfield post ever.

But obviously you'd want Puig.

But obviously you'd want Puig.

Puig is a great talent, obviously, but...having watched how professional Abreu is in comparison, I'd prefer someone like Chapman or Fernandez (assuming health) to the likes of Cespedes or Puig.

They both tend to showboat too much, and aren't team-first players.

Obviously, Moncada stands out the most amongst the younger players.

Despaigne and Gourriel are also intriguing players, albeit cutting it close if they're ever going to be impact MLB players. It's also just too bad we never got to see Omar Linares in his prime...

About as wrong an answer as the White Sox were on Dayan Viciedo, unfortunately.

I'd love a Cuban sandwich for lunch

Don't watch the movie CHEF with Jon Favreau, John Leguizamo and Sofia Vergara, haha. That will make you even hungrier.

Soler. Gonna be a monster.

I know that's exactly who Fathom's gonna pick.

If Courtney Hawkins can just be Soler-Lite, we're going to be pretty fortunate after how badly things looked following the 2013 season after a quite promising 2012 start to his career.

I don't care. I don't like Puig's attitude either but put him in right for the 2015 Sox and I'd forgive his transgressions pretty quickly.

I'd imagine it would be pretty difficult for Hawkins to suddenly become a Cuban national, but I guess we can hope.

Depends on their individual situations, age, experience level.

Right now, with the unprecedented Moncada deal, as well as Olivera/Rusney Castillo/Y. Tomas signings...the market has blown up so much that it wouldn't be prudent to go after these guys in an opening bidding process against the rest of MLB.

We've been 2/3 in this whole thing, missing on Dayan and hitting it huge with Alexei and Jose Abreu. (Not to mention Jose Contreras when he came over from the Yankees, along with El Duque in 2005). If we were professional stockbrokers, getting 3 out of 4 "big decisions" right would be considered pretty darned amazing.

That said, the White Sox should be closely monitoring Vladimir Gutierrez and Yadier Alvares. Those two pitchers, in particular.

all of what you said is true, but now with these players, they are seeing teams throw huge about of cash at them, it will take a rare individual to pick a team and not let the money influence their decisions.

A Sale-Jose Fernandez-Q-Shark-anybody rotation would be the best in baseball

I don't think Fernandez should count, he came from an American High School

I think Mike Trout ate a cuban sandwich once, i will consider that Cuban ties and add him to the list.

Jose Fernandez. A front four of Sale, Fernandez, Q and Rodon would be insane!

And Pablo Sandoval looks like he ate a Cuban this offseason, so he should be on the list too.

Only if you hit Sammy Sosa over the head with it. Oops, I think that was Puerto Rican rum.
