As a fan, I don't mind Hawk because it's fun to have an announcer root along with you and get excited for the team you like, but at the same time, he doesn't provider the viewer with any useful knowledge on the current game of baseball and he doesn't teach any new analysis. As much as I hate Len "Kermit the Frog" Kasper, he does a good job keeping current with new stats and analysis.
