If this score holds up, the Indians will only be two games out of 4th and some badly needed forward momentum.

 

Conversely, if the White Sox had gone 3-1 or 4-0 against them, they would have been 10-12 games under .500 and pretty much out of it.

It's like, at least for the casual fans, "here we go, been there...done that...this team will bounce back and forth around the .500 mark, probably below it...not a terrible team but not a contending team and not one that's worthy of my support or emotional investment."

Obviously, it's hindsight....but Russell Martin/Nelson Cruz instead of Melky/Bonifacio and we're still a contending team.

I agree and Danks leaves fans with a bad taste in there mouths. Fans are not stupid only reason he is here the bad contract.
