With their 18th round pick, #532 overall, the #WhiteSox have selected second baseman Dante Flores from USC!

18. Dante Flores, 2B, USC. Drafted out of high school originally. #466 overall prospect this year by Baseball America. Seems like a solid pick.

It's amazing how many players get drafted from these random schools

17. Jeffrey Orvis, Ole Miss, 1B, senior

19th round last year after being named 1st team sec. Went back to school. Seems like his bat can play a bit and has power. 1b picks make for Meh prospects though.

Our new Dan Black?

Houston just drafted a hell of a player

19. Frank Califano, CF, Youngstown State

Played one year of college. 19 sbs, 9 cs, and .819 ops. Okay then.

Everett, Hooper, and Molnar all still undrafted.

Lewis-Clark St Col (ID), seriously?

MidAmerica Nazarene U (KS)

Gannon University (PA)

It's awesome when people over react to colleges attended

Not overreacting. It's just funny to see these colleges people are getting drafted from.

Hooper, Sands, Everett, Traver still available. But even if drafted, probably won't sign anyway.

If we expected to have money to sign them I'd imagine they'd have done it in 11-14

The Sox often draft guys like this late, for nothing else but the right to talk to them and build good will for a potential drafting later on.

Reaching the true bottom of the barrel now

Astros just got another great player. Talked about Winkelman before

Lassiter, Landon North Carolina (NC) LF

Plays all over the field. Was one of best freshmen in the country but mostly got worse since then for whatever reason. Was a 28th round pick last year.
