Wow, the statement made by the DA in Kane's case. No evidence whatsoever that anything took place as well as inconsistencies in the accusers story.

Wow. I'm still going to opt to sport my Toews Winter Classic sweater from last season most often, but now I don't feel so silly owning a Kane home sweater.

And still in the court of public opinion he will stay be viewed as guilty by a large percentage of the population for the rest of his life.

I think it is a non-story in about six months.

Fans of the 29 other NHL teams will consider it a story for the rest of his career.

He should sue her for the EA Sports lost wages if there really was no case at all to be made.

Still can't believe Hawks blew the game last night.

Fair or unfair, the same accusation has followed Big Ben, Kobe Bryant.

It will be interesting to see what the NHL or Blackhawks do. They probably don't need to do anything and they probably shouldn't have him miss games, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Blackhawks would want Kane to seek some kind of treatment.

but it is great that the Hawks have kept faith on him.

Ryan Hartman has been returned to Rockford. Played his best game last night, IMO. Could mean Hossa is back.

What do you want the NHL to do? Say hey nice job not raping that woman here's a 5 game suspension? As far as we know (and any evidence we've been given has shown) Kane did absolutely nothing wrong that night and nothing worse than any other guy in the league is doing. Kane has been fine since the Wisconsin incident. What do you want him to do, never leave the house and live like a hermit?

Except for his whiff on the puck that should have been goal #6.

Eh, that bounced right over his stick.

I sit too high up to notice such minor details. I see empty net and puck, just make it go in!

I don't think it has really followed Kobe much. Big Ben yes, but it wasn't ben's first instance. With Kobe, it was very clear what it was (cash play) and other then being a perceived ass on the court, their have never been any off the court issues with him. Kane has had previous off the court issues (of course none to the extent of this one) and Big Ben is a guy I truly believe the accusations made. Wasn't it 3 separate potential cases with Ben. Ben is a total slimeball scumbag in my eyes.

Like I said, they may not do anything. I would be shocked if people in the Blackhawks organization aren't looking at the possibility of intervening on Patrick Kane's drinking.

Do we know that he was drunk when he went home with the accuser?

the better question is do the press, endorsement companies, blackhawk org and/or fans know he wasn't???

Pretty sure there is video and pics of him smashed at a bar with those girls before they went back to his house

in long run, even if there was proof of him drinking, didn't he have a designated driver who was an off duty cop???

that shows to me he was being really responsible for not being behind a wheel while being out with friends.

What it all goes back to is that Patrick Kane is an idiot who hasn't learned his lessons, despite multiple embarrassing stories... at best.

I still wouldn't be surprised to see Kane dealt next off season.
