Gillaspie to the Angels for cash

Featured Replies

Happy that he has a chance elsewhere. I liked Conor and wish him well!

Surprised the Angels are wasting their time on another Sox castoff. There was a time last year he had that sweet stroke going. But offseason came around and Gillaspie turned back into a pumpkin. Maybe with better instruction he'll be a good singles hitter to all fields.

here is a question, what happen if he really performs for them......

i let yous guys fill out the rest.

Good riddance

i am really surprise he really didn't open up about the players opinion of what is happening in the clubhouse this season.

and that is a credit to him for not saying anything.

Sincerely hope Connor finds a future as an MLB regular.

I hope Angel fans learn his name only has 1 N in it.

He's a mute .

If nothing else, at least the Sox got cash for him as opposed to getting nothing.

I wish him the best. He seems like a good guy, he's just not that good of a player.

Well that's the last remnants of the famous comedy team of Sierra and Gillaspie. Right up there with Abbott and Costello, Laurel and Hardy, Martin and Lewis.

And I hope they learn it's "Gillaspie", not "Gillespie".

I didn't even hear Hawk or Stone mention this today. Did I miss it?

He won't. I guess he could get that sweet stroke of parts of last season back for a bit. He was really good at smashing the ball where it was pitched. But alas the season ended and took away his momentum and he pretty much stunk this entire season. His defense of course has always been mediocre to poor. Angels could get him on a hot streak if he gets that stroke back, but he's not capable of it for an extended period. I'd give his fielding a D and hitting a C.

I'll be checking him out tonight at my first Angels game.

Conor is 2-2 tonight with a 2B and RBI

Saladino got 3 hits tonight. Plus he can run a little bit, and play defense...

Of course Sox could've DFA'd Beckham or Bonifacio and used Conor as a DH instead of the slumbering lumbering LaRoche but noooooooo they make too much money to DFA and LaRoche makes waaaaaay too much to bench. ,though Gordo and Boni have been glued to the bench since Saladino arrived.

Somehow the Sox are scoring more runs with Gillaspie gone. He isn't and won't be missed. Whining about Gillaspie is beyond a reach.
