Johnson vs Cueto

Curious to see how EJ looks. Last season was my first look and he was awful (in a mysterious way, velo down). He seems to be back so we'll see.

Come on EJ! Danks and Q have set the tone for pitching so far in this series so please continue that. Hopefully the offense takes advantage of a scuffling Cueto. Sox managed 4ER against Cueto earlier this year so hopefully everything has lined up for a series sweep in KC.

I would imagine Olt is going to get every opportunity to show that he can be just terrible enough to start for this team in 2016.

1-0 Sox, 3 straight hits, first and third 0 outs.

3-0 Sox on RBI single by Garcia, Cueto yet to record an out.

Johnson = Run support

LaRoche pops out, Olt blown away by a couple fastballs and K's.

Olt Notes - swing looked huge, flying open, didn't look like he had a chance even against a moderate fastball.

 

Maybe still talent there but swing and approach needs work.

First pitch - 91 mph fastball for a strike nails the bottom of the zone.

 

Touched 93 on pitch 4.

Should be fun watching EJ even if he gets hit, but Royals are dreaming of the playoffs just enough for the Sox to beat on them.

Swing kind of looks like a combination of Tyler Flowers and Josh Fields to me

Cueto certainly did not seem pleased with himself, I would say he isn't mailing anything.

 

Man That pitch was up and away and Perez crushed it. Crazy.
