September 12, 201510 yr Good. He's had a fine season for a newcomer. I think he's been great. Shut him down. No need to pitch him any more.
September 12, 201510 yr He'll probably still get three more starts and end up with about 155 innings, which is a good number.

This is the dumbest thing in baseball. I don't think they did this in the previous century unless the person was bad. Shutdown Shark.
September 12, 201510 yr QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 11, 2015 -> 04:53 PM) f*** this bulls***. Brian, this doesn't make you right I could see it if it to get a farm guy a start but it seems even with hitters who have a couple of good games they sit out a game. Never stop forward progress.
September 12, 201510 yr QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 11, 2015 -> 11:42 PM) This is the dumbest thing in baseball. I don't think they did this in the previous century unless the person was bad. Shutdown Shark. well those old timer guys probably played through a s***load of injuries due to just the mindset back then. Plus the lack of quality sports medicine and treatment as well. so yeah they probably did pitch more often and weren't coddled but they also weren't nearly as healthy and pitched hurt.
September 12, 201510 yr The WhiteSox did shiputdown Danks in Sept 2007 and he came back much improved in 2008, pitching a gem of a game 163. Of course he was getting tatooed in 2007. Skip a start but don't shut him down.
September 12, 201510 yr I like this. Rodon will still end up with a significant increase in innings this year and he's still just 22. It's only a skipped start, no big deal. Edited September 12, 201510 yr by BlackSox13
