Juan Uribe (testicular contusion) said no BP today. Asked why he doesn't use a cup, he said: "I don't think the trainers have my size." Oh.

I hope Shields realizes he's flying open and his head is too far away from his release point. He needs to work on his mechanics.

I am having you reassigned to minor league camp

First 33: 23-10

Second 33: 10-23

Every day I keep seeing articles about how the Red Sox are searching for pitching. It'd be so tempting to dangle either Sale or Q in front of them to see how desperate of an offer they would make if we decided to trade an arm.

If we are to compete this year, and we are only 2 1/2 games off the Central lead, or in the future you need pitching. You don't trade one or both of the two best starting lefty starting pitchers on the team and arguably in baseball. All you do is weaken the team

And I didn't say to do it it. I said if they decided to go that route. But Jerry came out and said they are going to try to compete anyway (key word being "try").

Today's lineup. Somebody needs to start a game thread.

Supposed to be whoever started the game before if they won. Which is silly, but whatever.

Who made it Wednesday?

You know your team has a problem when it's 2016 and Alex Avila is batting 6th.

White Sox center fielder Austin Jackson underwent surgery to debride and remove a portion of the medial meniscus in his left knee Friday, according to Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune (Twitter link). Jackson – who went on the DL with a meniscus tear on June 10 – will be on crutches for two more weeks and will undergo a reexamination in four weeks, per Kane.
