January 5, 201610 yr QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Jan 4, 2016 -> 07:20 PM) What? Yearly hitting min-camp that yields great results every season.
January 5, 201610 yr QUOTE (South Sider @ Jan 4, 2016 -> 07:42 PM) Avi better be there. LOL, damn right!
January 5, 201610 yr No kidding. Avi should be the first one there. Good to see Davidson will be there too. Never give up Matt.
January 5, 201610 yr QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jan 4, 2016 -> 07:33 PM) Yearly hitting min-camp that yields great results every season. It actually does... Well not great progress but since Severson has been the hitting coach and has been doing this yearly mini-camp, the overall crop of position players down in the farm has been performing as well as they have been in a long time. It won't be too long till we get to see some of the players who worked in this camp reach the majors (Tim Anderson, here's to you).
January 5, 201610 yr QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 4, 2016 -> 08:18 PM) I thought the the January summit last year was pitchers. Also, where's Laroche? It's still hunting season.
January 5, 201610 yr Not Cespedes - not Gordon. Sorry but my OCD has been in over drive for weeks on this crap.
January 5, 201610 yr Poor Olt. Before Frazier, he arguably had one last chance at a starting job in the big leagues.
January 5, 201610 yr QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 5, 2016 -> 05:36 AM) Poor Olt. Before Frazier, he arguably had one last chance at a starting job in the big leagues. Olt put up a .793 OPS at a 26 year old last year in Iowa and a sub .600 OPS in another short stint in the bigs. Unfortunately, you're correct, he did have a chance, but like every other player he has to hit his way to the big leagues and he hasn't done so. But, as long as he doesn't retire, he continues to have the same chance "hit and earn the job".
