It's hard to believe Blackmon is almost 30, too. He'd be a good pick up but not sure if he's worth the price.

Agreed. If the Sox are going to trade quality minor league talent then the return has to be a younger outfielder with more years of control. If Colorado does not lower their price then they can keep Blackmon and after reading the Fangraphs writeup, I want nothing to do with CarGo. The Sox already have one over-payed left handed platoon bat. ;)

There's a better chance we trade for the other CarGo

The #Astros have inquired on #Braves CF Ender Inciarte. Presumably would have to move Carlos Gomez to make a deal work.

I don't think the Sox matchup well with Colorado at all.

I would rather sign 1 or find a different trade at this point.

Heh... Hawk would probably call more games if he found out his player/man crush was coming here.

I would absolutely hate trading for Gomez as he is a 1 year rental.

Not interested in one year of Gomez. Tucker or Marisnick would have to be the targets but the problem is that one of them would likely go to Atlanta for Inciarte.

Marisnick is maybe a defensively replacement. No way he should be a starter.

And yet, would still be an upgrade over Avi and that's the point.

I'd take Gomez depending on price. They could give him the QO next offseason.

Would also be okay with Gomez depending on price, always enjoyed his game and unlike many of the options discussed thus far, he still plays stellar defense in addition to being a force offensively

Only played 115 games in 2015. Anyone know what his injury was? Had nice years in 2013 & 2014.

"Gomez is participating in a conditioning plan that is adjusted to consider his left intercostal strain that bothered him at the end of the year. No surgery was necessary following the injury and it appears Gomez is very close to being fully healthy. Barring further injury, Gomez will be the starting center fielder for Houston to begin 2016."

Thanks!

Gomez and Cargo would be salary moves and I think each should be had for Garcia and that's about it. Gomez maybe another piece but nothing major.

A three way deal with the Astros and Braves could work with Garcia being a sweeten to the Braves and impacts Houston system a little less.

No chance. Avisail Garcia has very little value

That should end this thread.

Yes it should.
