If Latos struggles, I could see Carroll making the team as the spot starter/mop up guy.

Why? If he's better than Danks/EJ/Latos/Turner at any point in April, he should start.

He's just not a big league starter. Still not sure why they put so much confidence into Turner coming into camp.

17 of last 25 hitters have reached off of Latos. He's not facing minor league hitters in B games.

Latos- good price, bad pitcher.
