April 7, 20169 yr Loney has better on base ability but Murphy has better power. Neither are very good, and both will be basically free. I might take my chances with Avi for a month and go from there.
April 7, 20169 yr If the Sox can't find a better option at this point, I'm all for Loney. Dude will cost almost nothing and is about as low-risk as it gets.

April 7, 20169 yr I'd take Loney over Sands in a heartbeat. If nothing else, he could hit in the second spot in the order and play solid defense. He has a solid OBP that would be nice behind Eaton and in front of Abreu/Frazier/Cabrera.
