It's a pretty solid theory. Based on a tweet I got today, FutureSox probably knows the reason but has apparently been asked not to say anything. Baby issues would seem like a highly sensitive personal issue I could see not wanting leaked.

First sentence is true, and a nice surprise since it was mostly thought his bat was ahead of his defense. 2nd sentence seems kinda harsh though.
