Is B>W a professional baseball player? Sorry, but Avi's earned his reputation as a hole on this team. After a little stretch that got everyone excited, he's faded right back to being a flailing, GB machine. Melky and Lawrie at least fought well against Betances; Avi just looked pitiful.

 

I don't know what game you are watching or even games. Avi has been doing a good job this season and in this game our hitters are being overmatched by tough pitchers absolutely ridiculous to start hating on a player. Just now Yanks relief pitching struck out 5 Sox hitters in a row.

So what happened back in the second inning with Q against Headley? I had the TV muted and it looked like Q wanted a new ball but the ump said no. He promptly walked Headley on a bunch of pitches nowhere near their targets and then gave up all those hits. Basically I think he was rattled.

Whole game has been a bunch of at bats without much of a game plan. Can't really blame them against the relievers, but the approach vs Nova was bad.

Man. I know these pitchers are tougher than the average pitcher, but these swings look kind of pathetic.

Jackson and Abreu would have reached base had they just not swung. That slider is nasty but it's not a strike.

Best pen Sox will face all year.
