Chicago White Sox vs Toronto Blue Jays 6/24/16

Featured Replies

White Sox at .127 BA with RISP the last 8 games.

Brutal. Only way to score is solo homers, walks, wild pitches or errors.

Id pull rodon now

Does Albers have a chance in this game tonight?

Odds aren't that good.

This is where Ventura gets a pass.

If it's not Albers, who should he go to here?

Jennings?

No easy choices. Ynoa?

Tulo up, 8 strikeouts for Rodon. Man, Russell Martin might finally be toast. Really fell off a cliff.

Balk on Rodon. Our good friend Angel Hernandez. Cooper's pissed.

What a weak balk call. Shocked Angel Hernandez is being an idiot

103 pitches with 1 out in the 6th. Damn Rodon is not good at getting deep into games

What the hell was that call? Cooper ejected?

Cooper tossed.

Now they FINALLY call a balk after he's been doing the SAME thing all freakin' night long?

Really? Why not call it 25 pitches into the game to "warn" him instead of one of the most important points in the game.

Balk - the most complicated thing to understand in baseball.

Guess he's going to let him face Pillar, lefty vs RHB.

Avila really playing extremely well this week...saved a run.

But Ventura's gamble fails...crazy play there, with Frazier playing 1B.

CHALLENGE?

Hey Frazier, there is a 2B!!!

The balk just cost them a run. Frazier had no reason to go after that. Thank god Hahn has a backup 1b on the team

Pretty routine play for Lawrie.

Would it have mattered there if Keith Hernandez was playing 1B?

Pillar is the type of player who wouldn't have been noticed 20-30 years ago, but is hugely valuable now with WAR/defensive metrics/hustle and grit.

Same with Saunders. Kiermaier/Forsythe with the Rays would be two more examples.

Where's OUR Travis Ishikawa/Conor Gillaspie?

Now you set up Albers for disaster if you bring him into the game with runners on base already.

Rodon at 115 pitches.

Tigers had a chance to tie it in the bottom of the 9th but couldn't come through, 7-4 Indians. 6 in a row, I think.

The non balk against the Sox set up that run

That is a balk but it is hardly ever called at the MLB level

Toronto about to have the lead after this batter w/ Albers in the game.

Why is Albers still getting chances? Hope he proves me wrong, but definitely seems like a spot for Jennings here.

I swear Albers sleeps with Robin or Hahn's wife.... That's why he still has a job.

The only other play there would have been Jennings...I don't think we have any RH relievers we could feel confident there against Pillar.

Ynoa?

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Rodon was still throwing upper 90's at that time, he wasn't gassed at all.
