Why would anyone trade for him right now

 

Said a Padres fan a month ago.

 

The Rangers desperately need another starter with Colby Lewis going down for a month with an oblique strain.

 

We could probably give them James Shields for free. Or extra something useful for Gonzalez.

 

 

That would allow us to run Ranaudo out there.

After they listened to you and did that, after one start you would be wondering why they were so dumb to think Ranaudo is a viable starting pitcher in the AL.

Why cant Buehrle come back and pitch for us. Would have been better than trading for Shields

Anderson swings and misses an insane amount

 

Talented kid with a bright future but he has got to learn patience at the plate

8 men on in last 3 at bats for Shuck. He's made 3 weak outs on 3 pitches.

 

 

Seriously again, that's like 10 opportunities in the last 2 games with a man on 3 and less than 2 outs and we don't f***ing

Because the Rangers are down three starters now and he could relax pitching behind that offense.

 

He would give up a ton of homers in Arlington, but they just need him to eat innings and keep the team in the game. I'm 100% sure that, for no explicable reason, he'd go down there and be perfectly fine and look like he has for the last season and 2 months in SD.

With Putnam probably headed to surgery and our 4th and 5th of'era batting about zero for everything you can see the need for some additional moves

No, they'd be thanking me for saving them a $27 million mistake commitment that only made sense in the context of competing THIS season. For the next two years, we're on the hook for an average of $11 million per season (including the buyout).

 

Is Ranaudo going to deliver a similar performance for essentially free compared to Shields...? Probably.

I hate inconsistent umps

With Putnam probably headed to surgery and our 4th and 5th of'era batting about zero for everything you can see the need for some additional moves

 

At the minimum:

 

They need to replace Avi's bat and get another veteran RH reliever.

 

That's at a bare minimum, and assuming Jackson is able to hit the ground running coming off surgery.

 

Do you, in your heart of hearts, think it's wise to commit another $10-15 million into this year's team?

 

Not to mention the talent we would have to surrender, unless we're just doing a salary dump rescue/takeover.

I guess that fan on the field's the most excitement this stadium has seen tonight....fans seemed to enjoy it.
