  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 08:42 AM) The Ouya has a lot of bad things going on right now, their crowd funding got suspended due to suspected donation fraud http://mobile.theverge.com/2013/8/29/46728...funding-scandal Ouya is mega f***ed.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 08:23 AM) DirecTV simply has HBOGO as part of their on demand. As a college student who's TV service is provided by the apartment, that does not help me. My parents get HBO, so I just have their account.
  3. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 09:40 PM) He has a good curve. The Tiger's announcers at one point called it Verlanderesque but noted that he didn't seem to throw it much. That curve looked nasty at some points.
  4. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 08:59 PM) Yeesh. Conor. Brutal night. No kidding.
  5. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 08:11 PM) Can't watch the game. Who's making the errors and how is EJ looking? The ump has an error. EJ looking average, but I like his stuff.
  6. Well, that's a way to give up runs.
  7. Got my Chromecast. Being able to stream HBO GO, albeit from a computer laptop, is pretty sweet.
  8. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 9, 2013 -> 10:19 PM) Sony announces PS Vita TV. If they can get the PS4 streaming part of it done well enough, this will be so worth the $100. Check this out... http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/09/09/why...-a-game-changer You can now play PS Vita games, AND use your PS4 on ANY TV in your house, AND turn your TV in to a smart TV for $100. And best part is you never have to own a PS Vita. Hell, I've never owned a handheld gaming device since my Gameboy color like 15 years ago. But now I will have the chance to not only have a PS4 in a second room in my house, but I can buy a PS Vita game and play it on a full screen TV without even owning a Vita. I'd throw $100 at that s***. Also lets you use Netflix and Hulu like other devices. The Ouya is f***ed.
  9. Holding out hope that Rodman is still an undercover CIA agent.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 04:37 PM) The ball distribution by the Bears was fantastic, The Bengals were expecting Jay to lock onto Marshall and that did not happen at all. Marshall with 100 yards and 3 others with 40+ is nice.
  11. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 08:14 AM) Guess who hit it? That is actually really interesting.
  12. I know before today Reed was a Top 5 reliever according to fWAR

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 08:56 AM) Israel isn't our ally by the way, they've been causing more problems than they solve for a long time now. Except they are.

QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 12:21 AM) 5 IP, 3H, 4BB and most importantly 5Ks. Obviously the walks suck but Beck putting up 1K/IP is huge. Especially against a great line up. Developing pitchers is fun.

Iranian leader: U.S. will 'definitely suffer' if it leads strike on Syria http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/05/world/meast/....html?hpt=wo_c2 Well balls.

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 10:23 PM) We party is what we do! No more sweating out what those loony toons will do next. The same applies to Israel by the way. We're getting nuked next if that's the response. And I enjoy your disregard of a US ally.
  17. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 09:07 PM) Why stop now. Get it get it.

Hypothetical: This same situation erupts in Iran, with a civil war. A nuke is used. Do we sit by?
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 04:51 PM) I agree 100 percent. I think Q has passed Santana on the prospect list. Q is a better pitcher IMO. Yes. But neither are prospects! Q is the 20th best pitcher in baseball according to WAR. Santiago is around 50th if he had started the whole year.
  20. I'd be cool with Pence, though Abreu tops my list and then McCann. I think Wite proposed ADA or Viciedo for Sandoval? If Hahn pulled off that sequence of moves, then I'd be real happy going into next year. Hell, 2 would make me happy.
  21. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 01:22 AM) Gatewood is the name I keep paying attention to. Obviously Beede is going to be a very high pick too, but I really hope we go position player with our first 2-3 picks. We seem to be stocking pitchers. If we get a top flight RHP prospect and the organization thinks he can be developed, I'll take it.
  22. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 12:02 AM) Sale is not a good example though. Very, VERY rarely are drafted player dominating pro ball a couple months later. Not many are dominating pro ball a couple YEARS later. All pointing to Sale will do is create unrealistic expectations for people to complain about when our top 5 pick next June is not in the pros within 12 months. Oh, I know. But then Beckham. It's not gonna take years and years if they draft right.
  23. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 08:49 PM) Yeah our offense is quite putrid. We stand about a 5 percent chance of beating any team in an East Division ballpark with this current lineup. But no matter who we draft, it'll take forever for that player to reach the bigs and I have no confidence our ownership will pick the right guy. I probably should stop being a Sox fan considering how little I believe in them right now. I'd spend the offseason spending some money, signing some guys with a clue at the plate, maybe sign a good set up guy and beg Dunn and Konerko and Keppinger to retire (even though I love Paulie; I'd rather have him retire than sign with another team). This team could easily be out of it by May 1 next year if like I said before Detroit goes 20-8 and we continue this suckage and go 8-20 which is entirely possible especially if Robin stays. I think it's pretty obvious he's overmatched, at least that's my opinion. Kinda funny, considering all these "draftniks" have said that the Sox aren't out next year if that's the case. Rough start, but not out. And why does everyone think the draft pick will take years? Sale anyone?
  24. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 07:44 PM) Huh? What's that? Bottom of the ninth, bases loaded, 2 outs, full count, down by 3 and hitting a grand slam is my guess.
