  2. It's possible that Amtrak will be moving out of the 14th street area while this construction is going on, which could accelerate the timeline of a new stadium. I'm thinking that Ishbia and the Sox will try to do a 2 year extension with the Rate while the new stadium gets built and completed by 2032/2033.
  3. With the developments in the area over the last 25 to 30 years, more and more parking options have been added, and I am sure there will be some complexes coming in with it.
  4. I understand your perspective and know it's the right one to have but I still get pissed when I hear the name Jake Eder.....and I was very upset when they traded our future long term RF when Steele Walker was sent to Texas. 😎
  5. I do wonder what the plan is for parking at the new stadium. Can anybody think of examples of really dense underground/aboveground parking structures that can fit a lot of spaces? I see the Allianz Arena garage in Munich can fit 10,000 cars and has a footprint of about 460ft x 790ft. When you look at the area west of the Amtrak yard, there are multiple parking lots and some garages. Seems pretty obvious that Ishbia would try to purchase these parking lots and develop them with parking garages. Regardless, I don't think parking will be a major hurdle here.
  6. Someone posting good music for once. I applaud you, Boner, and thanks for giving me one even though I hardly know you.
  7. Can't take any game lightly if you want to play in October. Hope for 7 strong from Burke tonight.
  8. The overlap of their issues is very interesting.
  9. His experience was SlamBall. That’s why no one respects him.
  10. That and no one is sure if he has a defensive position. His valuation is completely different as a catcher vs a left fielder, vs a DH. Though observing the change in tone towards his skill set now that he has been trade is always entertaining. Now people can be honest about his limitations.
  11. Yeah it's going to be rough. And all the construction will probably make the traffic in the area even worse, pre and post game.
  12. Plesac is a big time cheeseball as well but I do like some of his stories since he has experience in baseball as a reliever.
  13. This is the difference between having Jerry and Ishbia who know what they are doing in the realm of big dollars and real estate... and the Bears.
  14. Didn't know this but apparently Len Kasper plays in a punk band in Chicago. Took a listen and I dug it. https://sonic45.bandcamp.com/ Fun fact: I stood next to him at a Raveonettes concert 17 years ago. If he's going to that concert, he knows music.

  16. I love that things are moving along but parking is going to SUCK big time for the next few years- and it's already bad.
  17. Mets are hot since clearing house. Can't take this game lightly.
  18. The King is in the Building. Luis Robert is in the building. Sean Burke is on the bump. There is no time like the present to get hot.
  19. Some people will cry about a prospect for a long time. I just get pissed for a bit and move on because that’s all you can do, the trade is done
  20. You running around telling people to STFU isn't sarcasm, and will not be treated as such.
  21. Yeah I do too. I kept seeing the insiders use that to justify the trade and I find that to be pure cope or just covering for Getz. The guy is leading the whole freaking minors in OPS... I'm sure they they could find him at bats at one of the less important positions. Injuries happen too. And like you said, he could be a good trade chip.
  22. Following up: First domino in Justin Ishbia’s South Loop plan tips - Sox Machine Not sure if you have been following this but Ishbia is on the move.
