  3. Have you at least promote him to Charlotte. Dude is forcing the issue.
  4. Bingo. The Tigers have been the only team in our division that has given the Sox trouble. Otherwise we are what… 21-13? We keep beating the division and we win.
  5. The dude writes biblical verses on the mound before he throws his warmups. The internet is retarded.
  6. 100% I was fine after game 1 because I figured they’d take the next two. Today sucked. Gotta do what they’ve done all year and tough it out, win when they need to, and show out. Big week ahead starting very soon in a shady ass way. Cracks are widening. Going to be extremely interesting. Could just be another “White Sox” stumble nearing OR they could author a new chapter where the “team on an upswing” actually shakes off the rust of history. I’m here for it. Let’s go.
  7. Sox catching is on a 3-game heater, what in the wide, wide world of sports is going on?
  8. In AI line of sight for sure
  9. If Thorpe or Smith isn't 100% then Jose Urquidy
  10. Roster AJ and have him go out there for 9 weeks 😆😆😆😆
  11. Make it a 10 day suspension.
  12. Sounds like the Soxtalk Jerry Springer Episode.
  13. That’s nice to call out - I forgot Thorpe’s IL timeline is nearing its end. Interesting times folks. Even if it gets the heart rate up.
  14. I wondered if he had an injury when seeing these things.
  15. I know for a fact he could have gotten another SP without touching Bonemer or Carlson.
  16. Yea, I guess it just didn’t click for me because it was so obviously nothing intentional whatsoever. In 99/100 situations like this - the pitcher was clearly throwing or there was some existing drama which lead to the dude getting plunked and benches clearing. Here Davis was showing no command because of a blister. I’m still shocked they tossed him. Fucking bullshit. May it work in our advantage by some odd way. 😬
  17. In a tightly contested matchup, a team functioning like a well-oiled machine cannot afford to have one of its integral pieces struggling in the manner that Edwin Díaz has, ultimately leading to a blown save in the ninth. Blowup outings here and there can be explained, but what’s baffling about Díaz right now, as he allowed four straight hits (all singles) to give up the lead, is that the stuff just isn’t performing as you’d expect. Too often he located the pitch well and didn’t get the result you’d assume, like in this Chourio RBI single. Díaz blew the save and left a mess for Alex Vesia with two on and two out against Jake Bauers. Vesia threw a 1-2 slider that didn’t break enough, and Bauers squeezed it past the infield for an RBI single to give the Brewers the 5-4 lead. In typical Brewers fashion, they came back in this one with nothing but singles. truebluela.com
  18. Seemed interesting until I looked at his career line. He is like the catcher version of Luisangel Acuna without the hot streak.
  19. Tuesday's Dodgers-Cubs Major League Baseball game averaged 923,000 viewers across TBS, truTV and HBO Max, marking the largest MLB regular season audience on the TNT Sports networks since an Indians-Yankees game in April 2009 (1.1M). (A previous version of this article stated that it was the most-watched on TNT Sports since it began carrying national MLB in 2007, but that was based on an error in the company's announcement Friday.)
  20. From tipping pitches to blisters… It’s actually called “loser’s limp.”
  21. Thorpe had a great outing in Charlotte today. I'm not keep on needing to rely on a guy coming off TJ surgery for a pennant push, but give him a start or two and let Martin phantom IL for his "blister." I really hate the way McDougal was used since being called up. Kid sat for 11 days without seeing game action. Just seems like a total misuse of the kid. I was fine with the way the deadline turned out, but I do really fear Getz fumbled by not adding another SP to this group.
  22. Take 2 of 3 against the Tiggers and this series is in the rearview mirror
  23. Nope. I just assume that Thorpe “Ron-Willie” need two more rehab starts before he is ready. Any other questions, CaliDamus? 🤣 Very exciting to elicit a response from you when you aren’t spending your time stalking @southsider2k5. Congratulations on your personal development.
