  1. Past hour
  2. How exactly is this guy getting real time updates from someone high up in the org. who is perfectly fine with him publicly sharing immediately on Twitter?
  3. The deadline is Friday at 4:00 PM Central Time but he would still need to take a physical before that time for the signing to be official.
  4. Actually, if he signs in America, it IS imminent. Can't go too much longer.
  5. I'm guessing that Chris Getz has pulled JR and Ishbia into a room and has told them what they're doing.
  6. And now NBB said the Sox are out again lol
  7. Uh-oh, now NBB is getting on board and NBB is legit per @Y2Jimmy0 and @fathom. @Chicago White Sox is going to be busting geysers once he sees this.
  8. I am expecting some great new year news in the morning, don't let me down
  9. Somewhere in the ‘States, Imai is very intoxicated, and most likely smoking cigarettes. Good times
  10. Paying Robert’s salary up to the trade deadline would be around $13 million dollars.
  11. Even if it was never going to happen, whoever in the Sox FO that is allowing the trolling to take place getz it.
  12. Today
  13. I was commenting on this possibility or probability earlier. A dump could just mean they want to convert his salary to a different player. But it’s still cheap, they don’t have to do this just because Imai would be coming. And without a replacement for Robert in center, that’s not going to help the product just to move Robert’s salary into another position. There’s no reason they couldn’t dump Robert at the deadline either. Paying his salary for half a season shouldn’t be a big deal.
  14. Bummed to have missed this quack. I would have given him so much poop.
  15. It’s a legit site but they are just referencing the Clutch Points article below which references the previous Yahoo Japan article as its source. So it isn’t really anything new. https://clutchpoints.com/mlb/chicago-white-sox/mlb-rumors-white-sox-in-tatsuya-imai-munetaka-murakami-signing
  16. The Nifty News part stood out to me if they really are a reputable source but maybe I’m looking too deeply into it.
  17. This was my first thought as well. “Highly likely” could just be another way to say front runner.
  18. Doesn’t seem like much more than a piggy-back off of the Yahoo Japan article, once again stating that the White Sox have emerged as a leading candidate to sign Imai. Here is a link to the article translated to English: https://news-nifty-com.translate.goog/article/sports/baseball/12290-4823822/?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en-US&_x_tr_pto=wapp&_x_tr_hist=true
  19. Apparently Nifty is the largest ISP in Japan and a subsidiary of Fujitsu. So it’s a legit site. Not sure if the report is. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nifty_Corporation
