After looking at the radar, this game is literally at the perfect time. There is a 3 or 4 hour window starting around 3:15. This game will be played. -
Madrigal gets moved to 3B, which pushes Yoan to LF, which then pushes Eloy to 1B. But then Collins gets moved to 1B, which pushed Eloy to DH. However, Burger was the plan at DH because we have Madrigal at 3B, so once Eloy gets moved to DH, Burger is traded for Tatis, who will be struggling in SD. Tatis comes over and pushes Anderson to CF. Robert is then expendable, so we trade Robert for Machado because SD is entering a rebuild. But then Machado becomes the third baseman, and Madrigal doesn't have a position. I think we should just avoid drafting Abrams.

I haven't really followed Forbes much since we acquired him. Does he have a chance to turn into something?

How many games will the White Sox win in 2019?

I’ll tell you how I can’t ignore him...you quoting him! ? -
Thanks. I've been looking forward to following him this year.
-
I missed this one. What's the injury?
-
I'm still not sure if it was three pitches or if they just replayed the first pitch two more times.
-
I was thinking the same thing.
-
Madrigal with a double down the left field line.

After watching that 3rd inning of their current game, I wish I could change my vote to 90+. Best team of all time. No doubt. -
Two nice defensive plays by Yoan so far in the first two innings. One on a bunt where he charged and made a pretty good play, and one on a pop up down the line where he made a nice running catch (made it look a lot easier than it was). In Eloy's first at-bat, he hit it well into the LC gap for an out.

First 30 games include 6 against KC, 6 against Baltimore, 7 against Detroit, 2 against Cleveland, and 3 each against TB, Seattle, and NY. What will their record be?
-
Also, Giolito needs to learn how to pitch from the stretch. Once one guy gets on base, all hell breaks lose.
-
Exactly. And we even saw it first hand with Giolito last spring. If I recall correctly, he was pretty good last spring...then not so much during the regular season.
-
I did not erase last season, which is why I said my hopes are not high for him. Why did you ask if Keith Law saw his last outing?
-
Just to make sure I understand how spring training works: If you are good, it doesn't mean anything. But if you are bad, it means you are bad. Is that accurate? (My hopes certainly are not high for Giolito, but I just want to make sure I understand how spring training results work)

This should never be a team's line of thinking with the #3 pick. Take the best player available, period. If Vaughn is the best player, then take him. If not, then take somebody else.

FS: White Sox Should Be Pleased With 3rd Pick
SoxBlanco replied to Y2Jimmy0's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I don't think there are recent trends to go off of here. When have the Sox recently avoided the best player available in the first round because he was a prep player? -
But have you seen his new stance?!?!?! I think this might be the year!!!
-
Ever since I started working, every single day of my life is worse than the day before. So when you see me, that’s on the worst day of my life.

Beautiful response to an ignorant post.

You think Delmonico opens the season in LF?
-
Sounds like a right handed version of Bernardo Flores. I love pitchers like that.
